Captains Away Weekend 2019 – Scarborough

Captains Away Weekend Report Summer 2019.

What a fabulous weekend had by all, big thanks to the 32 gents who joined me on what was a truly epic weekend for me.

The 3 golf courses were ideal, starting with the tough test and world renown Ganton golf club, this was indeed a true championship course with scores reflecting the same.

This was followed by the links of Scarborough South Cliff, where we all enjoyed the stunning links views and lots of good golf was there to be had by all in what were relatively benign links conditions basking in glorious sunshine, the second day did not disappoint.

The last day was breath-taking Fulford Golf is truly amazing and everyone of you commented on what a great golf course it was, we had a little splash of agua for half a hole but nothing to spoil what was a very memorable experience.

The Weston hotel, whilst it was surrounded by scaffolding on the outside the inside was really nice, a very warm welcome in this recently refurbished hotel the rooms were spacious and clean, very friendly staff and a good hearty breakfast to soak up all the alcohol even the seagulls enjoyed themselves as they laughed all night long ☹.

There were a few of us that certainly over indulged, with some attempting rock climbing, the beach lift rope challenge and some had a truly smashing time.

All shall remain nameless – but you know who you are.
